Ana writes very good lyrics ( and this is not something I often say! ) and interprets the feelings in the music very well.
– Norma Winstone

The phonetic/musical fit is especially good for Ana Pilat’s beautiful musical diction. I am impressed and happy with Ana’s exact perception of the intervals and their densities.

Teaching

Thank you Ana for the support; you are observing us, seeing us and very carefully guiding, so that we can learn. I trust you. – P.P.

You became a super teacher, professional, smooth and give 100 percent to the person you have in front. You can feel what the person needs, and you use very well all you learned about the singing technique. – Kaija Kivioja

I am impressed by your teaching – you are present, clear and encouraging, you give perfect examples and you are always there for the student. You know your work. – Heidi Ilves

Thank you Ana for always believing in me and my singing journey. You have taught me a lot and been an amazing support through this year. – Pinja

My passion for teaching was born in 2018 when I first took a place as a singing teacher in an esteemed music school Artemusica in Trieste, Italy. After completing a Jazz Singing bachelor I decided to deepen my vocal pedagogical skills and therefore decided to study Music Pedagogy at the renowned Jamk University of Applied Sciences in Jyväskylä, Finland, where I graduated as a pop/jazz singing teacher. During my studies, I have become particularly familiar with vocal aspects of all modern genres. Through lectures, years of supervised teaching and observation of other professionals, I gained full-scale knowledge of vocal technique. Focusing on the correct posture, breathing, support, articulation (…)  I want my students to achieve healthy and effortless singing. With more advanced students I am glad to work on interpretation, improvisation and performance.

But we all know singing is not all about good technique. Out of all arts, singing might be the one most connected to the sensitive core of our being. Therefore I carefully listen to students’ needs and guide them into reconnecting to their voice, and rediscovering the joy of singing.

Combining academic knowledge with the one acquired in the School for Uncovering the Voice my approach opens to all levels and needs. I take advantage of my psychology studies to develop a wholesome approach with each student, making a singing lesson a warm and safe space for vocal and personal development.
I am content when I see the students excited about their own progress, and when they leave the lesson with confidence and spark.

No two singing paths are the same – I am open to give what I can give, and to learn what I still have to learn. In order to see if we are matching, the first lesson is half price. Welcome!

School of Uncovering the Voice

Every human being has a singing voice. Our work is to unveil, take away the hindrances, and free the voice. – Valborg Werbeck-Svärdström

Valborg Werbeck-Svärdström (1879–1972) was a child prodigy and renowned Swedish opera singer who, at the peak of her career, completely lost her voice due to inappropriate voice technique. This didn’t stop her from singing but encouraged her into developing her own method, which brought her voice back after a very short while. In collaboration with Rudolf Steiner, she developed a holistic approach known as the “School of Uncovering the Voice”.

This approach focuses on unlocking the full potential of the singer’s voice by removing any tensions or restrictions that may hinder the natural expression and quality of sound. It emphasizes the integration of body, mind, and soul in the act of singing, allowing a more authentic vocal experience. Voice is an expression of the individual’s inner being and should be allowed to unfold naturally without force or manipulation.

Through gentle and empowering exercises, this schooling encourages students to explore and develop a deeper connection with their voice.
